PneumatiKos

Martin Bakero, Adrian Fisher, Larry Cow and Luna Montenegro
invite you to their performance, THERE IS NO ENEMY.
An evening of sonic and visual poetry, acustic and electric trance.

pneumatikos is a sound machine producing language that is processed by electronics to form landscapes and cities. It is an evolving poetic experiment using the body and objects to create and move sound. Text becomes scrambled in the organic flow of trance.

Adrian Fisher & Luna Montenegro work in visual art and poetry creating performances and films in diverse contexts in Europe and South America. Martin Bakero is a Paris based international poet and thérapoet researching psychosis, sound and language. Larry Cow is a french artist based in Nice working with performance, sound, poetry costume and video.

Together as pneumatikos the group seeks to challenge the boundaries of poetics through explorations of trance and ecstasy.

This performance is based on a book the group published in November, 2015, Paris, called ‘there is no enemy’.

Entry: €3.

Martín Bakero (based in Paris) has presented performances, lectures, films, expositions, installations and radio programs in many locations throughout Europe and North, Central and South-America. Adrian Fisher and Luna Montenegro are artists and poets based in London. They work collaboratively under the name mmmmm, creating text, performance, film, installation and sound. They are interested in ideas of ritual, presence and the collective and have shown their work in Europe and Latin America. Last year they published the poetry book ‘The Intuitive Dictionary of Alvaro Guevara’ and showed documentation of their psycho-geographical walk-interventions in the book ‘Magic Block’ published by Errant Bodies Press (Berlin). They show their work in a variety of contexts, museums, art galleries, site-specific spaces, residencies, poetry forums, pubs and public spaces.

Their last visual art solo show ‘shortcuts in space and time’ Galeria AFA, Santiago, Chile 2015, considered concepts of psycho-geography, science and magic. They have been members of the London Biennale, The Writers Forum, PneumatiKos, and were two of the founders of the infamous bobs cabaret a weekly all night art warehouse in London. They have produced large scale events including a piece with 60 performers at a former eighteenth century prison and have curated Visual Art Exhibtions. They have made over 10 films together with Gines Olivares in the collective mmmmmfilms. They run a small press called One Night Stanza and they are also part of the experimental music band ‘THE YET’.

Larry Cow a french artist, based in Nice. Her work uses a range of media from performance, to sound and video. She works with the common, the everyday about situations, she is interested in the moment when they becomes absurd and unreal, perhaps grotesque. She explores the links between poetry, action, costume and the audience, the other.
